Stella demonstrates her freedom of movement in the Ansür Classic

Erika’s first saddle is an Ansür Classic – this is the same way she moves without a saddle!

I bought a 6 year old unridden Swedish Warmblood broodmare, Stella, and her 4 month old filly, Erika. After weaning, Stella was started under saddle in the Ansür Classic. This photo is Stella after 90 days in the Ansur ridden for me by my friend in a schooling show. It shows the mare’s unrestrained freedom of her shoulders and ability to use her back and hind legs thanks to the non-restricting Classic. Even at age 6, she showed no concern or resistance when the Ansür was put on or when she was first mounted and asked to move.

The 2nd photo shows her daughter, Erika at age 2, demonstrating that she inherited her mom’s freedom of the shoulder and stupendous gaits. She also had no concern about wearing the saddle. She promptly went over to the mirror to see herself and how it looked on her back. Then she tested it all by herself. I just stood there with the camera and took photos. Erika’s saddles in her future training will only an Ansür saddle.

All the horses in my barn have worn Ansürs since before the turn of the century!
