Sent: Tuesday, November 17, 2009 3:45 PM Subject: Excel Order Hi Carole- is my new saddle still on track for mid-December? I shipped off my Carlton yesterday to its new home in Indiana; another Ansur fan bought it! We are working hard to get ready for Pixel’s 3 yr old year. Hope to take her places in her new saddlehere are a couple of pics from last weekend, getting her in the trailer. She of course has trailered as a youngster since I bought her in Texas, but hasn;t been anywhere since. So we are starting over... Anyway, hope you don’t mind if I check on the saddle’s progress periodically. I have wanted it for a long time as you know, so I am anxious to get it at long last! Lee |
Sent: Friday, December 04, 2009 10:31 AM Subject: Pixel’s saddle Hi Lee, If all goes well, I should be able to ship Pixel’s saddle on or about 12/18. A lot depends on how the leather we work with behaves (sometimes at the last minute it shows a defect that can’t be spotted at the start). And then, there’s the uggghhh! Flu. It is running rampant around here. Carole is currently down with it but hopefully back in the shop next Monday. If there is a drastic change in the schedule, I’ll let you know. If Pixel gets impatient, tell her to put her Big Girl bloomers on and deal with it! Thanks, Don Weidner Ansür Saddlery
Sent: Friday, December 04, 2009 11:04 AM Subject: Re: Pixel’s saddle She was a little put out by the Big Girl Bloomers comment, as people tend to tell her she is a big ass...you understand. We try to be sensitive to her needs as a minority around here. :))Lee

Sent: Thu, Dec 10, 2009 7:47 pm Subject: RE: Just Checking.... That appears to be a really dirty look in that first pic. You didn’t tell her what I said did you? Or do I just have a guilty conscience?I’ll ask the crew tomorrow if we are still on track for getting her saddle done sometime in July/10. Don W.

Dear Pixel - I failed to mention our latest customer option in my last Best regards, Don (That’ll keep her busy for a few days, Hehh!) Sent: Sunday, December 13, 2009 5:35 PM Subject: SO SAD...SO DEPRESSED...ONLY ONE THING WILL TURN THINGS AROUND FOR HER... Sent: Tue, Dec 15, 2009 4:33 pm Subject: RE: I CAN’T HOLD HER BACK MUCH LONGER... Well, if that is the case, I have a surprise for her on its way in the mail. When it arrives, you probably won’t have to hold her back anymore. Merry Christmas! Don Weidner Sent: Wednesday, December 16, 2009 1:49 PM Subject: Reverse Psychology Trouble with Pixel is, she thinks too much! Amazing analytical skills for an equine, and SO perceptive. Sent: Thu, Dec 17, 2009 11:21 am Subject: Pixel’s saddle Dear Pixel, I know we have had our differences in the past but in the spirit of the Christmas season, I have forgiven you all your trespasses. As a gestureof my forgiveness, today I placed a very nice gift in Santa’s sleigh for you. Because Santa is very busy at this time of year, he may have to make some early deliveries. If I were you, I would keep a sharp eye out for a delivery possibly this Saturday, or at the latest, next Monday. Because I believe you can truly be a good girl, I didn’t even put “Don’t open ‘til Christmas” on the box. All I ask is that you be good to your mother and obey all (well most) of her instructions so that you in turn, can present her with gifts in the future – like trophies for the mantle. Merry Christmas, Uncle Don |
Sent: Thursday, December 17, 2009 9:31 AM Subject: Re: Pixel’s saddle Pixel agreed to comply with your directives, assuring me she is turning over a new hoof for the new year. However, I suspect she had her ears crossed when she made her promises...so we will have to watch our backs.I also got her a Christmas present, I don’t think she is going to like it as much as yours...a nice set of soft rope hobbles! Lee Sent: Wednesday, December 23, 2009 12:23 PM Subject: The Eagle Has Landed! That is “spy movie code” for my saddle finally got here! Loved the packaging :) do you treat all your customers that way or are we special? (of course we are special!) I was lunging Amigo when it arrived, so I parked him and got the saddle, assembled it, put it on, lunged him briefly to confirm it fits beautifully. I just had to sit in it so I parked him again, ran to the house to don breeches and boots. I must have sent you a tracing of my derriere because it fits me great, too! And of course it is beautiful, I knew it would be. I think it is a dramatic notch up from my Carlton. No question. Sorry can’t send pics yet of it on Pix, we are expecting T-storms today and snow tomorrow, not a good time to throw a new saddle on a teenage mule...but soon, I promise. You guys have been a blast, I have never had so much fun spending money. Lee, Amigo, and soon Pixel |
