"The saddle has arrived and I got to try it once before the weather closed in on us. Mare loved it. Stopped pawing the minute I girthed it up and then looked around at it trying to figure out what I had put on her. Then she took a big sigh and started to chew and lick. This is a mare that objects to a well-padded surcingle being tightened!!! So you had a lot of expectations to fill here with this mare. She was fairly relaxed for the hot mare she is when we rode in the saddle for the first time, by the time we finished the session she was round and using her back and NOT PULLING me out of the saddle. I am hoping this is the way to making her happy.

This mare Moonlight N Roses ++++// is an over achiever who has been my friend, love of my life (don't tell hubby) and an outstanding show horse for me since I bought her as a four year old 10 years ago. She has earned two Reserve National Championships in halter, countless Regional championships in halter, western pleasure, and hunter pleasure. However fitting a saddle was a pain in the you know what. We constantly had to pad, shim, fit this fit that and we never really made her happy. So I decided to quit riding her because she was getting more and more frustrated and tense each time we tried to ride especially when we started dressage. I decided it wasn't fair to keep trying to get her to do stuff that she apparently couldn't do with out pain or at the very least being uncomfortable. Of course she has been accused of being sour, stubborn, old (14), etc by trainers who know her on the circuit, but I knew different. We also spent a lot of time and money with vets to determine if we were working with a lameness problem and we weren't. Well to end this long story I know we now can keep going because she was so happy and willing the day we rode in the Ansür. I have my sweet willing mare back now.

"I received my new saddle yesterday and rode in it today.  I am so happy with it and my horses are so relieved to have it.
The demo saddle I tried was super but it didn' t have the support system I ordered.  This system is wonderful.  Linda Rogers (my distributor) says she wants to try it, I'll e mail her next to tell her how much I like it.  
Anyway, thank you for my beautiful new saddle and the peace of mind it gives me about my horses.  They are all Arabs and have big shoulders, very hard to fit and I spent a lot of time riding bareback rather than use a treed saddle.
Have a wonderful New Year. You all deserve it, just for having such a great product.

"The saddle I purchased has been wonderful. The first time I rode my 5 year old Arabian in it, he stretched his neck and rounded his back from the second I got on him. He has never done this before. Even more impressive is the fact that he had not been ridden in at least two months prior to the first ride in the Ansür. He was so relaxed that I let other people ride him and try out the saddle. He remained relaxed and confident even though some of his new riders were tense."

"My saddle arrived Monday afternoon. I rode in it on Tuesday afternoon. I am very pleased with the Ansür. The materials and workmanship are superb. I found it very comfortable and my mare moved out well right away. I loved how close I feel to her back and how much more comfortable my leg position was.

She is a very green horse and I was amazed at how much more responsive she was to leg and seat aids with the Ansür. My seat felt secure at the walk and I was able to adjust my balance at the trot within a few strides (my upper body position is going to improve so much with this saddle. No more upper body slouching!). I didn't canter yesterday because my mare had been tranquilized earlier in the day and I didn't want to risk a stumble. The stayed securely in place on her wide back, and showed no hint of lateral shifting.

I will give you another report in a week after I have ridden in it for awhile.

Dawn's comments after owning the Ansür for a while:

"My mare and I have been enjoying the Ansür for over a month now so I wanted to let you know that we are very pleased with its performance. Unlike the traditional saddle that I had been using, the Ansür stays put on my horse's back ---no slipping forward to impair her shoulder freedom and no lateral slippage around her round low withers. I absolutely love the feel of her back through the saddle. I find the seat to be extremely comfortable. My seat and leg position became more correct and tension free almost from the first moments that I rode in the saddle. My mare is young and very green, but her balance and relaxation have improved significantly since I began riding in the Ansür. She is able to respond to lighter aids and moves with free forward strides in all three gaits. I can even see a difference in her topline already! Bravo for providing such a wonderful saddle… Thanks again for providing me with the Ansür. I hope that I never have to ride in anything else!"

"I wanted to let you know how much I love my Ansür saddle. My trainer "happened" on one through a friend right before Region 9 Arabian horse Championships - which we were preparing. She rode 5 horses in 10 tests in one day during that day, and all horses go wonderfully. She, in turn, purchased the Classic and has loved it... She indicated my 1/2 Arab was the one horse that it made the MOST difference in. He is free in his back and finally happy to go forward.

I began riding him again - in my imported (i.e. expensive) 'treed' saddle - he was doing all the wrong things again.

I was very apprehensive about buying another expensive saddle, but if it was the right thing to do - I would. I began riding in the Classic, which I bought used from my trainer's friend - it didn't fit her well - she needed a smaller size and this one fit me perfectly.

I have ridden about 7 times in my saddle, and it is AMAZING! I love it. I am so aware of everything. My horse, my legs, my seat, and my position.
