My daughter Hannah bought the first Ansür, a classic, last fall. She bought hers new. After what we had seen happen to Sail'em, the Shire cross in the photos, the complete change from "flaky" to "forward"..... We decided my next daughter need one for her fat, no withered, Haflinger pony...... Then of course I needed one, for myself because my daughters occupied the other 2! My #2 daughter and I bought our Chics from second sittings.... I really have to give all the credit to my daughter Hannah, because if it wasn't for her persistence in purchasing the original Ansür, Sail'em would still be hurting today and God only knows where he may have ended up..... Makes you wonder sometimes about these "problem" horses...... So now Hannah is convinced training is her calling and has begun riding dressage, reads and studies a lot of natural type horsemanships, and has not only trained Sail'em to be the awesome jumper he is, but a hunter pony, a 2 year old Georgian grande is up and coming, going nicely under saddle....and is challenged by a 3-year old pinto Saddlebred mare, formerly knocked around a bit in saddle seat.....wasn't "high headed and high stepping" enough....beaten and abused to get that "alertness"....anyway she has had the mare for 6 weeks about and she has progressed from a complete squirrel (flipping over backwards, impossible to shoe, no touch on face and ears, etc) to a fairly eager to please and much more compliant horse with lovely potential for the dressage Hannah loves...... Hannah is only 16....... I am proud of her and her accomplishments thus far and I think she will reach her goal someday of being a true trainer..... One who listens to horses.....not just one who "breaks" them..... The Ansür is her first rule for saddle starting our horses.... They will never know pinching or pressure sores..... They will be more focused to their riders and so far.... We have some pretty cool horses! p.s. the potential buyers for Sail'em are returning on Monday! they have been trying to locate a Konklüsion to try on him. They will buy a Konklüsion if they buy this horse......trainer or no trainer! Amy T., Hannah B. (16), and Hillary B. (14) |
