Ohio young rider and her Ansür saddle head to Germany to study with Conrad Schumacher

Laura Hamler and Conrad Schumacher

My name is Laura Hamler and I first came to know about your saddle several years ago. I started using it on several horses in the barn that had back issues, and found out that they were much more  comfortable in their back. It was interesting to see how they moved much better and they were not sore after being ridden. My horse is very sensitive and lets you know if he does not like a saddle. The Ansür is the only saddle that I can use on him. If I use any other type of saddle he moves very short and gets muscle knots in his back. I compete in the Prix St. George and at the last show of the season, we scored a 65.%. It would not have been possible with out the help of your  saddle.

We have a lesson horse in our barn that is very stiff. He had been ridden in a common saddle. I put  the Ansür on him and it has made a huge difference!

My mother gives a lot of lessons and her students have many types of horses. Twelve of her students now ride and compete in the Ansür saddle. I am soon to travel to Germany to train with Conrad Schumacher for several years. This is such a great honor. I will be taking my horse and hope to train him onto the Grand Prix.

I honestly feel that your saddle is a wonderful breakthrough in the pursuit of finding harmony with the horse.

Thank you very much for helping me become a better rider. Your saddle will see a lot of training hours and competition.

Yours truly,
Laura Hamler

Here's what Ohio Dressage Society President, Christina H. Gemmel-Gnidovec says about Laura:

She is in tune with each of her mounts and knows how to encourage her equine partners to perform at their best. I feel that she is a skilled rider who can.successfully compete at the FEI levels.

George W. Williams raves about Laura:

.I find (Laura) to be an excellent student.and most importantly (she) works hard at following through with what we are trying to accomplish. I can always trust that in between the lessons she will have practiced and tried to have improved for the next lesson.

Laura says this about dressage:

Dressage is a wonderful sport and art form, my passion and my chosen career. I have grown up with this sport. It is an all-consuming love that I cultivate through continuous education and competition. Currently I am competing at the Prix St. George and the FEI individual and team Young Rider tests.

Laura says of her horse:

. I am very lucky to ride a wonderful horse named Kuer's Light. He is a 16 year old Hanoverian. He is teaching me a great deal about feel and timing.

Laura is involved with her community:

It is very important to me to have a balanced life, and I have juggled my own training with caring for 26 horses, giving lessons to 10 students weekly, helping with 4-H, volunteering at a therapeutic riding center, and being very active in my church's youth group. But my primary goal is to become the best rider I can be and to share my knowledge with others so they can develop a passion for this sport as I have.
