Bullseye was our rescue project of the summer. He is 11.1h and weighed 900 pounds. He foundered so badly he could only take a few steps. It took 3 of us to support him for the farrier to work on him. Even with the heel down as far as it can go he shows 8 degrees of rotation. We had our vet out 2 weeks after he arrived and he suggested we put him down. He didn't think he would ever be able to walk properly and certainly could not be ridden. He is hypothyroid and has liver disease. It's 6 months later, he weighs 450 pounds he does great at walk, trot and canter, and is starting small jumps. He seems fit, happy and pain free. He had not been in a saddle in over 8 years. He is too small for a surcingle so I even long-rein him in the Ansür. It's been great to have it. He has had no problems with his back. Thanks for the help. Ariana can't wait for her own saddle.
