Hi All at Ansür Saddlery:

Let me tell you about "Apple Imaginings", also known as "Lil", who is now owned by Pam S. of New York. I have been associated with Lil for all of her eight years of life. She is a quarter horse of good lineage and has a very nice build, looking very much as the average quarter horse should. Lil started her under-saddle work with a local trainer in our area. She started out very well, but it didn't take long in her training that she started to exhibit resistive behavior, sometimes even putting on full brakes, not wanting to move forward. The behavior was attributed to a discipline problem and, unfortunately, was handled as such. As she grew a bit older, I took her back over for my lesson program, but was choosy about who rode her. One of my students seemed to connect with Lil. That person was Pam S. Pam and Lil clicked together very well, and in a short time, Pam bought a nice expensive saddle, which seemed to fit both rider and horse well. Lil did improve in her attitude, and the discipline problems reduced, but did not cease. Pam bought Lil a couple of years ago, and has done well with her in spite of Lil's periodic "temper tantrums" and obstinate behavior.

Pam had chiropractic work done on Lil, and bought the best of pads to use under her treed saddle. However, Lil continued to exhibit significant stiffness at the canter and no bending to speak of; generally, she was an unhappy horse, and when we did jump, Lil would rush her fences. After observing the improvements in my horses when ridden in the Ansür saddle, Pam and I thought that we would give the saddle a try. How we wish that horses could talk, because Lil would have told us long ago that she didn't like the feel of treed saddles! She is a totally different horse for Pam, because she is now ridden in an Ansür. She's relaxed, obedient, and slow, giving us the opportunity to really work on the fundamentals, something that we had difficulty doing before with Lil's resistive behavior.

Pam is a recreational rider, learning strong fundamentals in dressage, and doing a bit of jumping.... all in her Ansür. She has the Chic in the Mocha color. It's a beautiful on Lil's creamy color.
