Gale and Skippy at Laughing Fox Horse Trials using an Ansür Chic on the cross-country phase

"All is well with me and my Ansür Chic Petite. It is such a pleasure to have one saddle work for both Skippy and Phelan. Again, I had awesome rides with both horses this past weekend. Skippy is always a good boy, so folks don't see a big difference... but what I feel is that he has more spring in his trot, AND, when we jump, he lands much more "springy" rather than a thump. I am pleased with this.

But, Phelan - now THAT'S A WHOLE 'NOTHER STORY. Fortunately, in front of a huge crowd (a lesson that I was giving today, consisting of seven horses/riders and spectators), Phelan was exquisite in his behavior today. His canter departs were calm, relaxed, balanced, and just plain enjoyable. He was so relaxed that I took the flash noseband off his bridle today. No chewing the bit, no swishing the tail. That's three rides in a row on Phelan with the same calm relaxed behavior. And, he's NOT sick. :)

I have done quite a bit of jumping with the Ansür on both Skippy (LOTS on Saturday) and on Phelan. I seem comfortable, but look forward to the larger knee blocks.

Have a good day."
